Session 1: The Role of Head of Key Stage. The role of Head of Key Stage encompasses a wide spectrum of Middle to Senior Leadership tasks. The role can be both challenging and rewarding – how can you achieve excellence in your job?

Session 2: Academic Monitoring. Tracking pupils using a vast amount of data can become difficult. Year Leaders and other colleagues need to be supported and pupils need to understand how they can progress. This session will also look at how best to deliver careers guidance.

Session 3: Time Management and Stress. This session will look at balancing the demands of many people and dealing with urgent matters. Good structured time managed organisational skills will be looked at as well as the ability to run effective meetings.

This CPD training course is suitable for all new, exisiting and aspiring Heads of Key Stage/ Year Leaders who wish to develop their role further. The day will cover leadership and management, academic monitoring, time management and stress and give you practical tools and tips to take some of the pressure out of your everyday work. This day of CPD can also be run in your school as an INSET.
