Standardised and consistent approaches to gathering useful information through observations, conversations and peer-evaluation in order to open effective professional dialogue.
Session 2: How do I give effective feedback? How to give constructive feedback and the more challenging parts of the process of appraisal - dealing with under-performing staff, disciplinary and capability processes, legal and policy matters.
Session 3: Improving performance & some scenarios. The development of staff and ways in which they can be supported to enhance performance and work in different ways to deliver better outcomes. How talents can be shared and used to best effect. How understanding different personalities can assist in the process of appraisal. We will also give delegates the opportunity to work through some typical scenarios faced during the process of appraisal.
